Instruments

Choose from the following instruments and languages available at Melissa's Music & Language Studio.

The instruments available at Melissa's Music & Language Studio are flute, piano and recorder. You can also choose to study the language of Japanese. ESL (English as a Second Language) is also available upon request.

Flute

The flute is recommended for students from the age of ten. Playing the flute requires upper-body strength and stamina. Students learning the flute can progress from beginner to advanced (Grade 8 AMEB) levels.

Piano

The piano is an extremely versatile instrument and can be learnt at almost any age. Children as young as 5 and as old as 65 have successfully learnt to play the piano at Melissa's Music and Language Studio. Students can progress to about Grade 5 AMEB standard.

Recorder

The recorder is a fantastic instrument for younger learners, generally from around the age of eight. Most children learn the recorder at school and some may need a little bit of extra help to master this seemingly "easy" instrument.

Japanese

Japanese is taught at many primary and high schools in the local area. Whether you need a bit of extra help with your Japanese homework or assignments or whether you are just interested in learning about a new language and culture, Melissa's Music & Language Studio can certainly help you achieve your goals.
